Hello,

Currently I'm in US with my family. Our GCs are pending. It might take a while, may be a year or two.

We got our Canadian PR in 2005 and landed in same year. We have the Landing Paper, also we received
our physical PR card in 2005 but they expired in AUG 2010. Between 2005 and 2010, we visited Canada
a few times but did not settle there.

Can I travel to Canada with my Landing Paper and expired PR Card for a short trip? I have Advance Parole/Travel Paper to come back US.

Also need to know any possibilities to renew our Canadian PR, Is there any way to Reinstate it.

Will appreciate your answer. Thanks!

I'll help you with your second question...

To reinstate your PR status, you would have to manage to enter Canada unreported. (Unreported means that immigration officials allow you into Canada without reporting that you have failed to meet the residency obligation.) Once you have entered Canada without being reported, you would have to remain in Canada for two years straight (i.e. two years without leaving Canada for even one day) and then apply for a new PR card. Everyone in your family who wants to keep their PR status would have to do this.
