Question on Co Signer in Parents Sponsorship

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to sponsor my parents for PR in 2017.
As all know we need to have minimum income for last 3 years to be eligible for sponsoring.
I was going through instructions on CIC website and one thing is confusing.
If we have spouse as a co-signer , does he/she also need to have last 3 years income above LICO +30 percent ?....or it doesn't matter if the combined income is above threshold.

On the CIC website they mentioned below :-
"The co-signer must:

meet the same eligibility requirements as the sponsor;"

what does it mean exactly ? It looks they are saying that co-signer income must be high than threshold than only he/she will be eligible .

Not sure about it.

Anyone who knows about it please guide.

If you are sponsoring your parent in 2017, then you must meet the income requirements in 2015, 2014 and 2013. You can either do this on your own or through combining your income with your spouse. If you combine your income with your spouse - both of you will have to provide CRA tax returns for the applicable years.

I am planning to fill and apply application myself. Ofcourse, I will help my parents also.

Is there a need of representatives form in my submitted application ?
