My citizenship application was delivered to CIC on Oct 16, received AOR early November and since then nothing, eCas just says "Application received" and not "In Process", no further mails or emails, so I decided to call CIC this morning asking when will my file be in process or if there is something wrong/missing.

I was told AOR means the application is in process, and the processing time is 12 months so just wait.

does AOR means in process? I'm confused now.

Thanks in advance all

Usually In Process status comes in when the local visa office opens your file. We are sending our file to a centralized system and location. They send you AOR. And then your file goes to local processing office. When the local processing office opens it then it usually comes to "in process".

So may be in few days. Some offices take longer than the others.
