Question - Ok to not claim certain work?

I have been following some threads recently about how difficult it is to prove self employment when applying for PR. I have 4.5 years work experience, 1 of which was self-employed. Am I allowed to not include that work experience on my application, if providing the necessary evidence is too difficult/impossible? Or would not claiming the work be considered fraudulent? (I am the secondary candidate in my partner's application).

Huge thanks to anyone who can offer some advice or insight here! I am thinking I should change my profile so I'm not risking being rejected for not having enough work evidence.

You'll be fine. I'm doing the same for 2 work experiences in fact. For the interest of full disclosure, mention these jobs in the Personal History section in your post-ITA application.
