Hi,

I have been in Quebec for 5 years, but I studied in the an English university. So I can not speak French really good.
After I finished my schooling, I got a job in Montreal which is related Computer science. By the way, my major is also Computer science. I think it is satisfied Quebec selected class B.

My problem is that, my score is overqualified already without French score. But my friends told me that if my french test is not over double B2, the government will reject my application anyway even if my score is passed. So I want to confirm is it true for quebec immigration? Because I checked the official website french is not only qualification to determine if applicants can get CSQ.

Please help me .

thank you and best regards,

French is not necessary if you are meeting qualifying point 49 and after that with adaptability points added to passing points 55 if u r a single applicant.
However basic french necessary to communicate with visa officer during interview which will help you to grab more points out of those 6 points of adaptability which are in the hands of visa officer.
The condition of B2 is if someone wants more points to add or to reach qualify points then he must have pass atlst B2 to gain points from french proficiency. But it is not mandatory to pass if you have sufficient points already in your hands

The application fee is 750$ and the most jobs require French.
In fact, the quebec immigration is really restricted now, they announced that the french is not necessary for immigration but if your french is not passed doubleB2 level, your application will be processed really really slowly

Forget Quebec Immigration & apply for Canadian Federal Immigration.

All you need is your "Job offer letter", read the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp?expand=arranged#arranged

You apply as for "Federal skilled workers" with "Arranged employment".

When you apply for CSQ, you will have to submit your French exam scores with the CSQ application form.
For Quebec Immigration, French is a REQUIREMENT & that too in the 3rd level !!!
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/rules-procedures.html

Also, you will have to face a 1 hour French CSQ Quebec Immigration interview.

The question is whether you want to stay in Canada or go back to your home country.

If you get Canadian Immigration using "Federal skilled workers", you can move to Quebec the same day after "landing".

Can I just submit the CSQ application and get in line. At the same time, I will learn french and take french exam.
When they ask me about french test, I will hand the score. By the way, if I did not get Double B2, will they reject my case anyway? or still give me an interview

I am assuming that you graduated from Montreal either from McGill or Concordia.

According to the following link:
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/forms/search-title/dcs-students-peq.html

When you send your CSQ application you have to submit the following (read point 3):
* CSQ Application form
* Photocopy of identity pages of your passport
* Original or certified true copy of proof of advanced intermediate-level knowledge of oral French (academic transcript, standardized tests recognized by the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles or attestation of having satisfied the language requirements of a professional order in Québec
* If you enclose a diploma that attests to a study program followed entirely in French in Québec, you do not need to enclose other proof of knowledge of French.
* Full and exact payment of fees to process your application
* If you wish to pay by credit card, enclose the completed Payment by credit card form.
* Original or certified true copy of the attestation of successful completion or certified true copy of the diploma
* Original or certified true copy of the last complete academic transcript of the study program
* Certified true copies of academic transcripts, the attestation of successful completion or diploma must be produced by the administration of the educational institution or the registrar of the university.

Hello Friends,
Your kind attention needed.
One of my friend today got a courier back from the Quebec immigration department. They are asking him to submit document for french language (attestation of results). Whoever here knows new rules (applied after august 2013) understands that B2 is the minimum level to get the points and hence he and also I have selected the option that "I am not submitting an attestation of results for my knowledge of oral French (If you do not submit an attestation of test results for your knowledge of oral French, no points will be awarded under this evaluation criteria)".

And we both are already qualifying as our points are 61, where the qualifying point is 57. Remaining points we can claim out of 6 points of adaptability.
Then why immigration department is asking him to submit result document???

It seems to be serious issue.
