Dear all,

Recently my friend, who applies one month before I do, got a test end of the month. However, I did not :(

I heard that cic officers will come from Vancouver to Victoria to hold the test event.

Any one know what will be the next period when they come to this island?

I would guess they are here this week for the whole week, I got a notice to take my oath on Thursday January 30th.
I live in Victoria and applied for citizenship back in October 2011, completely routine application, no RQ, no fingerprint request etc. They received my file in December of the same year but it did not show as being processed until October of 2012. I wrote my citizenship exam the last time the CIC people were over here and that was in October 2013.
My Citizenship ceremony is on January 30th, so 27 months from application.

When I went to my ceremony in Victoria this past week I was told that the CIC staff wouldn't be back in Victoria until July.

Yep, it was 27 months for me as well, from application to oath. I wrote my citizenship test back in October 2013 when they were last in Victoria. It sucks waiting so long!

It's good for you just wait 27months.
In my case, I get no RQ, no test, nothing but booklet, and I already wait 22 month.

That's just ridiculous! At the rate it takes them you should be able to apply a year before you meet the residency requirement because it takes them so long to process everything!
