I have been looking for implied status post but there are not many so EXPERTS looking for your help:
One on the post I found is the following "I believe that as long as you applied for an extension before your current visa has run out, you should be on implied status, which means you can remain in Canada under the same conditions as your existing visa until they have made a decision on your extension (but implied status is cancelled if you leave the country between that time!)."
Want to confirm the following:
My plan was to apply in canada 2 weeks ago for the WP extension but a sudden death in my family took me back to my country where I am right now.
Even through these are sad times I had to look for the time and I just applied yesterday online for the Work permit Extension.
1- When does the implied status kicks in, after the expiration of my work permit on April 15th OR yesterday when I applied online?
I assumed it should be after the expiration of my current work permit but I can not find anything on this matter on the post or on the CIC website.
2- I ask this question since from the post I am refering above it says: (but implied status is cancelled if you leave the country between that time!). I am currently out of the country as I mentioned but this Sunday (april 6th which is before my WP expiration) I am returning to Canada and I want to know if I will have an issue in the POE
3- Or if I will have an issue going back to work on Monday
4- My employer is also worried and I would like to send them some kind of link or reference related to the above expose in case everything is fine so that they can relax on this matter.
I really hope I get some answers since I am really worried
