I am Canadian citizen and I’m sponsoring my spouse from India. This is my second marriage. Previously I have sponsored spouse in 2014 and got divorced in 2018 in Canada.
For sponsored person , this is first marriage.
Does this situation complicates my case?
I have applied in May, but still waiting for file transfer.
Any input from past experience is appreciated.

As long as 5 years have passed since you last sponsored your first wife you should be fine. They will look into the application more because this is your second sponsorship.

It’s 3 years for the person who originally sponsored. As long as it has been 3 years since your 1st wife PR then you can sponsor another spouse. Sure there will be scrutiny. You only recently got divorced and got married again quite quickly and are sponsoring another wife from another country.

Thanks. That’s what I was thinking.
I have a friend in same situation, waiting since last year September. So I was panicking little bit.
