Not to burst your bubble buddy, but don't bother applying as an RN in Ontario. :D

Whether you've had 1 day or 100 years of nursing experience, it won't mean squat. There is still a VERY HIGH possibility that you will still study for 2-4 years, write the exam, and then try to apply as a nurse there with no Canadian experience, wherein your competition will surely have some.

Good luck

Hi Pickle, in this do you suggest to apply for a nursing course instead? maybe a degree?

In fairness to the Canadian Nursing Colleges, they WILL, in some manner, credit SOME of your nursing units from your country of origin. Sometimes, they DO even allow you to take the nursing licensure exams immediately. But of course, that would depend on their 'mood' ;D

If they allow you to take the exams immediately after evaluation, then woopteedoo..! Good for you! ;) If not (which is most likely) and they want you to study, either a bridging program or taking the darn nursing course all over again, tough luck.

I guess one would consider that a second nursing degree. (Even though you already had one)

Sad but oh so true.
