Hello,

I know this isnt the place to post about work permits. We're in a bit of a time crunch and I know that the family class thread gets more trafic...... SO I thought I would make a fast post here. I will delete it afterwards so as not to spam up the family class thread.

On IMM 1295 it asks "Duration of expected employment yyyy/mm/dd - yyyy/mm/dd"
On the LMO and employmnet contract it doesnt specify the day and year but rather says 24 months. What would we put for that?

Also where it asks for 10 years of expierence it only gives a few lines, is it ok to attach a resume going back ten years to make up for it?

Also it says that if a medical test is needed it will be requested. Everyone who works for the company from foreign countries were required a medical exam, due to the type of work. Does anyone know where to find that form and if its ok to see a doctor anyways and just send the form in, so as not to delay things.

Thank you,
Katie :D

You can provide the "expected" date of employment lasting 24 months based on your estimate of when you would come to Canada and start work. In the cover letter, you can mention that these dates are estimate and that the period of 24 months is specified in the employment contract.

You can also add an appendix to your application which gives out the full 10 year's resume. On the form, just refer to the appendix. Again, mention that you have done this on your cover letter.

Regarding Medicals, CIC would provide you with a form (which would include your File number) if they feel that Medical are necessary for you. You would have to wait for this before you can proceed with the medicals. You can however, try to contact the Panel Physician responsible for your country (http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx) and check with them directly if you can go ahead and do the medical exams.

Hope this helps.

I am not sure which industry you are in, but I work in childcare and I simply went to the DMP for the medical and then included the receipt in my WP application which was mailed. I did not wait for them to request it, as it can take them a month to even receive the medicals and I didn't want there to be any further delay.

I found the form on the CIC website, and then just went to one of the Dr's they list.

Hope that helps.

Request for medical exam will be sent to you thru mail after you sent you application package. Are you outside Canda?

Thank you,

Rachiy,

Thank you for your response. The only medical form I can find online is the one meant for spouses. Do you think that matters?

Thank you,
Katie

If you don't work in childcare or healthcare you will not need a medical if you have been a regular resident of Italy for more than a year.
