Hello!
I have a general question about the medical exam for PR applications. Will the examining doctor request to see past medical records or doctors notes in Canada? I ask this because my primary caregiver and I have a fairly close relationship and I share lots of things with her about my general health and life. I have a general question about the medical exam for PR applications. Will the examining doctor request to see past medical records or doctors notes in Canada? I ask this because my primary caregiver and I have a fairly close relationship and I share lots of things with her about my general health and life. Something things I've mentioned to her in the past few years include:-
- Past recreational marijuana usage and drinking (I don't smoke or drink any longer... gives me migraines)
- Past reliance on over the counter pills to sleep due to stress caused by work and university (melatonin, zQuil, etc.; also not an issue anymore, I sleep quite well these days.)
- Past issues with mild depression and use of anti-depressants for a few months (was initially diagnosed almost 8 years ago in my home country, and haven't needed anti depressants past the initial 2 years and a couple of months last year; currently off my anti-depressants and doing well.)
- I mentioned this on a different thread: Details around my transgender identity and potential surgery (I mentioned at one point that I wasn't ready to get any major surgery as I wanted to focus on school and getting PR some day. Recently I've received some gender affirming surgery and am quite comfortable with where things are and do not require the full surgery or added care aside from hormones.)
