I have a question about my visa and a work permit. I'm here on a visitor visa while I wait for my PR, but I'm going to send in an open work permit. How does that work? Will I have to change my visa from visitor to worker, or do I leave it as visitor? Is there anything I have to do before submitting my open work permit? Could anyone please help me out as I want to submit this OWP as soon as possible. Thank you.

Generally the OWP is sent with the PR app, but it can be applied for later. As long as you have a valid status - your Visitor visa is a valid status if not expired - you can just mail the application direct to Vegreville. No need to change anything.
