Can anyone from the Uni of Manitoba or having info abt it clarify the fee structure of this Uni ?

umanitoba.ca/student/records/fees/1031.html

It says around $8000 for the first year and $700 for the next :S ....

If this really means what i understood without any "reading between the lines" then how come this be ? I mean whats the catch behind it ?

that's not a program fee, but a "Continuing Fee". You need to pay it in order to continue your admission/enrollment in case you failed in first academic year.

Hi Enfield..

Have I got you right?

If a Masters is of 2 years and year 1 is $8000 and year 2 is $700, is year 2 actually a (8000+700).. ??

Please shed some light.

let's assume you are studying a 1 year course. You are liable to pay 1 year fee. In case you failed/skip in 1st year academics, then you have to pay a "continuing fees" per term/semester (apart from regular fees) in order to keep your admission going on for a " fixed period "!

Total $8,000 tution (for one year course), in case you skip/fail, you pay $700 for each extra per term/semester "just to keep your admission status running" (apart from regular tution fee only in case you get registered for any course/exam)
