Hi folks.
My wife and I are US citizens and have visited Canada many times by car through Port Huron in Michigan. My mother-in-law is a Mexican citizen and will be visiting us again in Michigan this summer through her tourist visa. I was planning on visiting some of my family in Canada but wanted to know how can I bring my mother-in-law into Canada for a weekend. Would a transit visa suffice or she needs to apply for a tourist type visa?
She won't be visiting us for another month but just wanted to know what my options are and see if she should start preparing paperwork for the Canadian Consulate in Mexico City or Detroit if we have enough time.
Appreciate any help, tips or info. Thanks.
