Hello everyone..

I'm about to send my police records certificate (Clarence) to my Visa office to speed up this process, but I have a question...

The instructions says "If the original certificate is not in English or French, then you will need to submit both the certificate and the original copy of the translation prepared by an accredited translator."

1) My documents are in spanish, so I have to send my ORIGINAL certificate? + the translation with a Certified copy?

2) My letter also says -- TO: "Department of immigration of Canada" .. is this line correct ?

Thanks in advace for any support.

Hola Luis,

you should send the Original certificate + the certified translation.

in the email they must have given you the address to send it, In my case I sent it to CIO Sydney they didn't mention the "department of immigration of Canada". I sent a cover letter with my application number and refered it to "The Immigration Officer" instead of writing "To whom it may concern".

hope is useful

Hi,

I am a Spanish citizen and I currently live in Canada. I need to request police certificate from Spain and I know I have to do it by post but i do not know how to request for it to be legalised?

IMPORTANT: THE CRIMINAL RECORD CERTIFICATE MUST BE LEGALISED IF IT IS TO HAVE VALIDITY OUTSIDE OF SPAIN. DO NOT FORGET TO MENTION THIS FACT WHEN MAKING AN APPLICATION WHEREVER CERTIFICATES ARE ISSUED. (Universal legalisation or The Hague Apostille)

Any help would be much appreciated.
