Hello All,
It has been almost 10 months since I have landed in Canada/Quebec for the first time. During this period, I didn't reside in Canada. By the way, I have obtained my PR card. I would like to know if this situation is going to cause any problem regarding my residance status and later ragarding my citizenship?

Warm Regards,

You need to stay 2 out of 5 years in Canada to retain your PR status. To apply for citizenship, we need to stay 4 out of 6 years in Canada.

ttrajan,
Thanks for your reply. So it doesn't matter if I stay 1 year or even 2 years outside Canada in order to retain my PR status or pursuit my citizenship?
