Hi all,

I saw the requirement of spouse's English level is CLB 4 at the CIC web.

If the spouse take the IELTS exam instead of the CLB, which IELTS type (A or G) should be choiced?

I only found that the principal's IELTS exam type is G type at the CIC web.

Please help me as if you know the policy.

Thank you.

Ielts-g is the only choice.

Hi CanEra,

Do you have the official notices or links about the statement of spouse English test type?

Or did you reply me based on your previous experiences in your last reply?

Thank you.

Quoting from this link-

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/factor-adaptability.asp

Adaptability Maximum 10 points
Your spouse or partner's language level
Your spouse or common-law partner has a language level in either English or French at CLB 4 level or higher in all four language abilities (speaking, listening, reading and writing).

To get these points, you must submit test results from an approved agency when you apply. Results can not be more than two years old on the day you apply.

When you click on the test results from an approved agency it takes you to the page which clearly says for IELTS- you have to take the General Training...

Hi,

If you are applying for Immigration, IELTS - GT is required for both principal applicant and spouse and if you are applying for Student Visa, then IELTS - Academic is required.

Hi All;
I appeared in IELTS 2 times. First time i got 6 band in All but 5.5 in Reading and Second time i again got 6 Band in All but 5.5 in Writing
can i send both Result to consider 6 Band in all or i need to get 6 Band in one Result?

my wife get L-4.5, R-3.5, W-5.0, S-4.5 is this equal to CLB 4 or she need to appear in exam again.

You must get 6 band in all categories in one test (one result).

If you apply now by sending both results, your application will be refused.
