Question about Sponsorship Application status online

Hi all, I(sponsor) and my partner are living outside Canada. I filled out my email in sponsorship form, however CIC said that they sent me a letter about the decision.

Here is my status online :

Sponsorship

We received your application to sponsor ........ on January 31, 2014.

We started processing your application on February 27, 2014.

We sent you a letter on February 28, 2014 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I dont know why CIC did not sent me by email

Did you mention your email address correctly in the application form. If so apply for gcms notes to verify it is correct.

I received an email from CIC inform that they have received my sponsorship application and give me UCI number for checking online status.
So, I believe my email address is correct.

I just dont understand why they did not sent by email

I also got my sponsorship decision by a letter instead of an email although I did fill in email address in the sponsorship form and also got sponsorship AOR by email.
From my experience, the decision of your sponsorship application should be approved. My ecas status said CIC sent us a letter about the decision on Feb 3 and guess what I just got the letter on Feb 20. I even got the AOR of PR application from my VO earlier than that.
