Hi - I'm a Canadian citizen marrying my American husband-to-be next month. I live and work in Ontario (have my whole life) but I wanted to have my wedding at my cottage, which is located in Quebec. If I get married in Quebec with a marriage license from Quebec, will that affect my application? Although I am not a resident, will I have to apply with some of the Quebec forms? Also, will my marriage license and certificate be valid in Ontario if I did not get married in Ontario?
Thanks!

Hi

As long as you show in the app that you are living in Ontario and not planning to live in Quebec, it won't affect it.

Of course a marriage in Quebec is recognized in Ontario....and every other province and territory and the rest of the world too.
