Question about Skype chats for proof

When using Skype chat messages as proof, how should I print them out? Copy/paste into Word, or screenshots? I've been copy/pasting some conversations into Word documents, which I like because it shows the dates and times for each message, but I want to make sure that this would be acceptable to CIC. I also have screenshots of our faces in Skype calls and a record of our call logs in addition to this.

Another question - Does it matter that my partner doesn't use his real name as his Skype username? He's also changed his username periodically. I'm not sure how to prove that it's him every time.

Wow! Wish this chat minimiser existed before. Or even remembered searching for one or something similar.
We sent both (the screenshots and some copied conversations). We mostly chat and talk on Viber and that thing doesn't paste well to Word at all.
What we also did was screenshoting Gmail where it shows the number of e-mails we exchanged. And printing screenshots on photo paper looks great! I'm considering framing one.

I think I will send a selection of both as well, maybe. I've just been copy/pasting because it's easier than taking several screenshots of one entire convo, but after second thought, it seems like it wouldn't be the best in the eyes of CIC, because anyone can edit a Word document. I dunno.

I got the same problem!

I can't get the chat log as I am using Ipod to make Skype call..

I don't want to connect it to the computer or itune..

can anybody help please?

I took a few screenshots of the skype calls, just to prove we did use skype to talk. I put the screenshot of the beginning of the conversation at the top of the page on WordPad in small size but visible, then I wrote a little description on a page under the screenshots about how I copied and pasted the conversations because they were long and would be easier to read if I pasted them onto WordPad. This was if we had typed conversations!

Also, I would just log into my account and take a screenshot of the account logged in on the main page, and say this is my account logged in, I have changed my username a few times but all chat logs are 100% mine and my husbands, something like that. I think as long as you give a description of the issues you think might be questionable it is ok for the most part!

Hi,

I took screenshot and per page one screen was printed.

There was question in questioner forms how frequently you talk? just to address that, I gave complete skype chat history, it was around 100 pages and took one side print only.

But I also created one tabular summary indicating approx. minutes and hours we spoke from March 2015 to December 2015, coz after that we were married and living together.

JUST FYI, sent my wife outland application in Feb 2016.

Just to be clear, you only took screenshots of the calls and then copy/pasted the text convos? That's what I'm sort of doing right now, so it sounds like this would be okay

We used Skype for video calling. No typing messages.

1) So in Skype I went to my wife's name => clicked conversation => view old messages => and selected 1 year

2) I screen shot the messages and would crop the messages showing the date, call to <wife's name>, call ended, duration <hours:minute:>.

3) Saved the cropped screen shot as an image file.

4) I'd paste about 3 cropped screen shots per page in Microsoft Word.

I had lots of skype calls of 10 second duration so I cropped those out near the bottom so the longer duration video calls would show last each screen shot. I think those 10 second calls would show the effort we made to contact each other and there was hundreds of them.

Don't know if CIC would accept my Skype logs but I also showed screen shots of us talking on Skype.
