I am a salary-based employee working 40 hours a week at the rate of $20.5 an hour. My goal is to acquire 1 year of full-time experience (52 weeks, 30 h a week at least) and later apply for BC PNP.

My question is regarding the points awarded for the salary you have. There were a few of weeks in year when I took sick day (unpaid at my work) and therefore my hours were 32 a week (instead of 40). I understand this should still count in terms of getting a year of experience, since I am still completing at least 30 hours weekly.

However, will this affect my salary based points? After 1 year of work experience, I will specify in my application: experience in current NOC (1 to 2 years); job offer $20.5 an hour / 40 hours weekly. Will those few weeks affect my salary points? Or does officer only look at the job offer presented at the time and doesn't care about the salary paid in the past?

Thanks.

Anyone?

Also if the week has 2 holiday days off (16 hours) + me working 2 days (total 32 hours). Can this be counted as a full-time week?

CIC doesn't care about precise amount of hours. They will look at the job offer, paycheck, maybe call your company. That's it.
