Hello I need advice.
I came to Canada with my husband in december 2006 as Permanent residents. When we first came to Canada we only stayed for 15 days and we went back to our country to finish our employment there and get ready to move to Canada. Finally in december 2007 we moved to Canada. Our permanent residence card expired last january. I have a question about the process to renew because I have the 730 days in Canada but my husband don't. Let me explain my situation and please give me advice about what to do. My husband is a Doctor and it has been very hard for him to get a job, because he is overqualified for the most of the jobs, and he is in the process of validation of his degree but it is a long and expensive process. At the beginning we were living of our savings, but after a while we really needed to have an income and my husband get a job in a cruise company as a Doctor. For this job he have to be outside of Canada for long periods of time. In the meantime I have been in Canada, I went to university and finally last october I get my degree and I started in a new job. During all this time my husband have been paying taxes every year, he has been paying rent in his name for our apartment here, he has his bank account here and basically Canada has been his home country. But for work reasons he have been not physical present here.
Any advice about how to renew the PR card?
