Question about PR and visiting the US

I am just curious, my husband is from Mexico, and needs a visa to visit the US, but when he gets his PR will he be able to go to the US without applying for a visa or how does that work?

Your husband would still need a visa to go to the U.S. even after being a PR of Canada. He can apply for one from inside Canada.

A Canadian PR card holder may travel visa-free to the following countries if not already exempt:

• All Dutch Caribbean territories (90 days)
• Bahamas (30 days)[15]
• Bermuda (maximum 6 months)[16]
• Cayman Islands (60 days)[17]
• Costa Rica (30 days, PR card must be valid for more than six months)
• Dominican Republic
• Georgia (90 days in 180 days)
• Guatemala
• Jamaica
• Mexico (6 months)
• Nicaragua (90 days within 180 days, not applicable to all nationalities)
• Panama (30 days or 180 days)
• South Korea (30 days when in transit, not applicable to all nationalities)
• Taiwan (30 days, online registration required, only applicable to certain nationalities)
• Turks and Caicos Islands (90 days)[18]

This list does not include the US but still a good thing to be aware of
