The police clearance are the documents that are sent up front with the application. If they are approved/cleared, they do not need to be renewed like the medicals, correct?

Now, once an application has been approved and it has been sent into background checks, when they are doing background checks on a case and they want to obtain security clearances, do these clearances have an expiry date? For example, let's say that someone has lived in more than one country (at least two different countries) and those who conduct background checks have to obtain security clearances from all the countries that one has lived in. If they get the security clearance from one country and it is cleared but the security clearance from the other country does not come in at the same time, but comes in a number of months later, does the security clearance of the first country have to be redone? In essence, is there an expiry date on security clearances?

Hi,

You don't need to resubmit PCC.
If you stayed in different countries for more than 6 months you have to submit PCCs from that countries too.
Security check/background check is the part of PR application processing by CIC. You don't have to bother about it and try to know how they conduct those procedure. Leave it to them. If the submision of your PCC from any country has delayed, the processing time also will be delayed according to it. Therefore, if you have done every requirements properly, just wait for any further communication from CIC. Don't get worried about such things. Good luck!!!.

Hello Sad girl,

You do need to re-submit your character certificate it depends on your immigration officer/case. In one of my friend case they have asked him to re-do medical and get new character certificate (beacuase both were expire). I think you should email CIC and ask about the process of background checks issue. I would recommend when you make the new charter certificate, attest that certificate with your "Ministry of foreign affairs" by doing this they Could also verify your charter certificate from your any local embassy outside your country. I hope this will work in better way Inshallah. These all suggestion are based on my personal expereince.

Normally character certificate validity up to 6 months to 1 year it depends on the country of issue.

Best Regards,
