question about police certificates

DH will be sponsored me, it says all family member over the age of 18 must supply a police certificatebif not a PR or Canadian. Eldest daughter is 25 and living in Usa, land of her birth, and does not have a Canadian Cit Certificate. Will we be required to have her get a police certificate for my DH apploiication for PR even though she has no plans to move to CA and if she did would apply to get her CCC. Thanks for replies.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but since the daughter is 25, she wouldn't qualify to be sponsored, and so isn't a dependent, so I don't think she would be required to send a police certificate.

I thought the same but when you read multiple thinhs that are so vague it gets confusing! Thx For the reply

They have reduced the age a 'child' is considered a dependent to 19 unless they have a mental or physcial disability so yes she wouldnt need a certificate and if she did decide she wanted to move to Canada would have to do so under her own merits...so will save some money on the police certificate!
