Question about NOC duties

Hello guys,
I and my wife are thinking of applying for EE. Since she has got higher scores than I do, so she will be the principal applicant.

One question about the noc code duties.
She does not perform all the duties listed under the noc code, only about half of them. Would this become an issue when the CIC examines our application?

CIC expects applicants to perform a substantial number of duties under the noc chosen. What does that mean exactly? Do they have a minimum percentage or something similar?

Could anyone who applied offer some insights? What kind of experience do you guys have when claiming your job duties?

Thank you so much!! :-*

No harm in your spouse being the PA. EE is NOC agnostic so it doesn't matter which NOC you choose so long as it falls under 0/A/B classification.

One need not show 1 to 1 correspondence between main duties of a NOC and one's roles & responsibilities at the workplace. It is acceptable if majority of those duties are matched.

Thank you Asivad for your quick reply!
Do you think my wife performs 4 out of 8 duties under the noc code chosen would be acceptable? I'm really concerned about to which extent CIC will determine the number of duties that they think is enough...

4 out of 8 is 50% which clearly isn't majority duties. Try and figure out if there are ways of explaining her job roles in a way that match the NOC duties.

I think that should not be an issue. CIC has mentioned all the duties that they think the specific NOC might have. However, they'rent adamant that these should be restricted to those. I believe it is absolutely fine if your spouse performs some of those mentioned in NOC and not all of them. In addition to that you should also include other activities/job roles she performs.

Thank you Asivad and Neetz for replying!
You are very helpful and generous!!!
I also believe that unlikely everyone applies under EE does everything mentioned under the noc code....

It depends on the NOC and exactly which duties are missing.

For example, if she is claiming an O level NOC but doesn't have the personnel management duties, applicants are usually refused.

Can't say one way or the other without knowing the NOC and the duties ...

Another key - Check the Lead Statement of the NOC and see if that matches...
