Hi All,
I would like to apply for immigration to Canada under FSW category. I have had work experience as a college lecturer which is definitely in one of the 38 occupations listed in new ministreal instructions but the problem is, the experience I have as college lecturer is in two parts:
August 1999 to February 2000 (Seven months)
AND
August 2000 to 20th March 2001 (Seven months & 20 days)
As you can see I took a 5 months break in-between from work so my question to you is does it affect my case since Canadian immigration rules reads "you must have at least one year of continuous full time or equivalent paid work experience in the last years in one or more occupations identified in ministreal instructions" ?
I think this question needs to be carefully reviewed because there is a GAP in work experience I have gained. Please note, I worked as a lecturer in college on adhoc basis but it was full time paid work experience.
I am currently employed as Senior Secondary teacher since April 2001.
I would appreciate your valuable answers.
Regards,
Rajni
