Have you completed your medical test already?
Just quickly, this is my situation: we're in toronto on work permits, and we got our request for medicals two weeks ago (giving us 60 days to complete them). The problem is that I'm due to have a baby in three weeks. I don't want to hold up the application process but obviously don't want a chest x-ray while I'm pregnant. So I want to see if I can get as much of the medical test done as I can before baby is born, so I just have to get the x-ray soon after I give birth.
Can you explain what the process for the medical is? The instructions we received are a little vague.
If you could answer ANY of these questions, it would be much appreciated:
- Do you go to the approved doctor, they do a physical examination, then give you a referral for bloods and x-rays - which you then take to the places that perform those tests? Is this correct?
- Do you know if there is a time limit on the referrals? Ie you don't have to get it the same day/week?
- What does the physical examination itself consist of? What does the doctor do?
Thanks in advance.
