Question about late medical/police checks

Hi all! I did not do my medical and FBI checks upfront as I was really strapped for time to get my app in. I now have notification of sponsor approval and my application has been forwarded to CPC-Ottawa. I just mailed out my fingerprints to the FBI about a week ago (so I know I can expect around 4 months to wait...) and I plan to make a medical appointment first thing Monday.

My question is, what's the risk of Ottawa returning my application for being incomplete because I am missing these things? Or would that have happened already in Mississauga? Does Mississauga verify everything is there first before shipping it off or do I still have to stress that Ottawa won't be satisfied with what I have? Or are they ONLY concerned with the sponsor's portion of the application? Approximately how long does it take to hear any word from Ottawa once my app has been forwarded there?

If it was going to be returned, Mississauga would have done it. There is no set time for hearing from Ottawa; it may be a few weeks or it may be a few months.

What would I even hear next from Ottawa? Is that what AOR2 is? Documents requests?

Not all visa offices send AOR2. AOR2 is the acknowledgement of receipt of the application to the office that will process the second stage. Document request is just when the visa office needs more info from you. Not everyone has those requests.

I'm pretty certain that Ottawa doesn't send AOR2.

Most likely, the next thing you will hear is a request for the FBI certificate.
