question about landing

from what i understand, a PR is able to delay their landing up til the date the medical expires - but once they have landed, are they able to go back to their original country and continue working for a few extra months?

The limit date to land comes stated on CoPR.
And yes, you can go back.
You have to stay 2 of 5 years im Canada in order to maintain your status as a PR.

...Unless you have condition 51 on your COPR which states you will live with your sponsor for 2 years after landing. Not sure how it would be affected by landing and leaving immediately to return to your country of origin. Look closely at potential consequences before making a decision that you can't undo.

okay, that was the part i was wondering about. i know we will have condition 51, i just wasn't sure if the 2 years starts immediately upon officially landing or if we could delay the start of the 2 years of living together until he officially moves here.

I have a question on bringing my things, listing them mostly, for when I land. I have had about 10 boxes of stuff stored at my kids for the last 2 years as I have been in Canada as a visitor trying to get my PR. I now have DM and know it will be soon that I can land. I am from the USA if that matters at all. I did not know that I would need to list what I have in the boxes. Mostly I have linens, pots and pans, dishes a few nick-nacks and paperwork that must be kept for 5-7 years. I only brought with me when I came a couple suitcases of clothing and got rid of everything else. Will I have to go through each box that is already packed and list what is in them. I won't have time to do that I don't think, or can I just say so many boxes with linen type things so many boxes or pots and pans..... I can't ask my kids to go through things as they all have their own lives and full time jobs.

I do not have condition 51 on my COPR, but officer told me if I travel or stay with my husband (canadian) out of Canada, it still counts as living in Canada.

FYI, she asked me only two question on COPR ( I did in local visa office).

It should start on the date you become PR, that's the date you land.
