Hello everyone

My wife is about to land in Canada soon. Got a couple of questions.

I will be returning back to Canada with my wife, and she is going to be landing.

Can I accompany my wife during her landing process?

And for all the goods she bring to Canada, is it duty free? is there any limit?

Do we need to provide any receipts for the goods?

Also she has some goods to follow, do we need to fill any forms before landing?

Anyone who has any landing experiences, please share with us.

Thanks in advance! :D :D :D

1: Yes, you can accompany her.
2: Yes, it's duty free as long as everything is listed on the B4 form. I'm not sure if the 10k cash limit still applies or not, but I don't think so.
3: No, she doesn't need receipts, but it's something that's nice to have. If you have serial numbers for items such as electronics, list them on the B4 form.
4: Yes, the B4A goods to follow form.

thank you so much for the help

So do we get the B4 or B4A form at the Canadian border? or we have to fill them out before we board the airplane to Canada? if so, where can we get the forms?

Thanks again!

I think they changed the name of the document. I couldn't find the B4/B4A forms anymore, but I found this: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/bsf186a.pdf

Thanks a lot.

So that means we have to fill the form in advance ?

Yes, it's a good idea. I'm not sure it's completely mandatory, but it'll save you the hassle of filling it out later.
