Question about landing and COPR

I applied under Alberta PNP in November from Edmonton. Got Bridging open work permit on may and moved to work in Calgary still with the same employer and other conditions stayed the same. 2 weeks ago got my COPR. Will it be a problem while landing that I'm no longer in Edmonton but still in the same province ?

Yes, but I got my COPR so quickly that I did not have time to change my address with in CIC. Now I have CoPR with Edmonton on it and I don't know how immigration officer will react when I'll tell him I actually live and work in Calgary.

You should give CIC a call and ask them but I think that you can notify them of the change of address via email. Maybe you will even be able to change it when landing but call them to make sure beforehand. I honestly don't think it should be an issue. As long as you are still in Alberta they should not bother you

Thank you for replay. I think that its a bigger problem with working for 3 weeks on bridging open work permit with that company in different city and not letting CIC know before they approved it. Now I'm worried that they might accuse me of misinformation even though I didn't do anything illegal. Just forgot to let them know.

But your employer did not change during your PR process right? If it was the same employer, working in the same province, I do not believe it should cause you any problem. But once again it would most likely be better to check with CIC. They could potentially tell you that you had 3 weeks to tell them, which was plenty of time. Is there no way for you to just land with your Edmonton address? That would be less trouble

It would be but I don't know whats the probability of officer calling somewhere in Edmonton to check that. The last thing I wat to do is lying.

You should of course be honest. Call CIC and explain your case.
