Hello all,
I have a job offer in Vancouver and the job title is "Software Development Manager",
I am now planning to apply for a Temporary Work Permit. Does the above job title
allow me to apply under "Temporary facilitated process for Information Technology
workers in British Columbia" on the hrsdc.gc.ca website
My job duties are similar to that of "Software Products Developer" which is NOC 9990.6
Should I apply for the temp work permit with the current job title of "Software Development Manager"
OR should I ask the employer to issue me an offer letter with job title "Software Products Developer".
If I get the job title changed to "Software Products Developer" then will that prevent my spouse from
getting an "open work permit" (I read somewhere that only Manager positions allow the spouse to get
an open work permit). I am in a dilemma and need to quickly decide, can someone please advise?

Hello all,
I have a job offer in Vancouver and the job title is "Software Development Manager",
I am now planning to apply for a Temporary Work Permit and I am hoping to do so
under the "Temporary facilitated process for IT workers in British Columbia", this will
hopefully allow me to get the permit quickly.
I checked the HRSDC site and one of the job titles which qualify for the above process
is "Software Products Developer" (NOC 9990.6), does the current job offer title of
"Software Development Manager" qualify me to apply in the above category, OR
should I ask the employer to issue me an offer letter with title "Software Products Developer".
Can someone please advise on this? Any help or advise will be much appreciated, thanks!
