Hi Guys,

I'm in the process of obtaining a "Offer of Employment" from my employer who will send the form to Service Canada. But on the form, field no. 21 Title of LMIA Exemption Being Requested:

There is no drop-down option for C43 - Post-graduate, which is the work permit that I got.
There are options for C44(doctorate), C45(medical or dental), but not for C43.

Has anyone an idea how to go about this?
And apparently the form needs to be filled and sent digitally, so I cannot print out a copy and fill in the answer that I want.

Thanks!
Rajiv

1. If you have a PGWP, then your employer doesn't apply for a LMIA, s/he just hires you.
2. If you are working for the employer now and s/he wants to employ you permanently, there is no LMIA exemption code, it is just a regular LMIA for the position that s/he wishes to fill.

Hey thanks for the info.
Well my employer does not want to hire me permanently, I'm on a 1yr contract which expires in February next year. And my PGWP expires in July 2015. So its still the same LMIA you're talking about?

1 If you want to work past July, 15th, then your employer needs to get a LMIA and you to get a new work permit.

Hi Rajiv,

Did you figure out a way to deal with and complete the IMM5802 form ?
