QUESTION ABOUT GETTING A NEW PASSPORT.

My husbands passport expires in april 2018.
Is it possible for him to get a new passport while his visa is being processed?
If so, how do we inform the manila visa office about it?

Also, does it affect the application in any way if I (the sponsor) get a new passport. I need to change it to my married name... after 3 years haha!!!

i am on the same boat here. so after i get my AOR and application number, i will email CIC about the change in family name and passport details. but i am unsure if i should link my application first or do it after they confirmed the change.

We received AOR last week and hubbys account is already linked... ill probably call the call centre tomorrow and get advise from an agent, but im not sure if they would know what to do...

yeah i'm going to do the same, i will link it right after i get my AOR. then email them about the change in family name and passport details.

You can work on the passport renewal. It's up to you and then send in a copy of it when you've received it
