Hello, I'm wondering if I need to include the day when I did flagpoling in the CIC physical presence calculator? Technically I did leave Canada but not entering US, so I don't have a US custom stamp showing the flagpoling, only Canada custom stamp when I returned. Thanks in advance!

I included it on mine. It doesn't count as an absence, I don't think there is any harm in doing so. I mentioned I turned around at the US border, and landed as a PR in Canada the same day.

Actually, while you don't have a US stamp on your passport , your flagpoling is probably recorded in your i94 report. I have it on mine.
Good luck with your application ! :)

What if I did not mention it and I have already submitted my application?

you should be fine. you were not absent from Canada that day and you did not actually travel to us. So you did a right thing. Although others who mentioned this as flag polling should be OK as well.

Yes, I called CIC, and the agent confirmed that this does NOT count as an absence especially I did not have a US Visa and they expect people to do that to become PRs.

Thanks!

Also, if you put the details in the presence calculator, it eventually shows up as 0 days so yes it doesn't matter :)

Yes, I know it does not affect the calculation, but this is also the case with one-day trips to the US, and they must be declared.
I did not include the landing day because I did not know what the destination country would be (I was reluctant to put the US as the destination without having a Visa).
Obviously, adding it would not cause any harm, but also not adding it seems to be OK (the agent confirmed that any officer would be very aware of that procedure on the landing day).

Hello Guys,

I made the same mistake and missed adding the day of flagpole in physical presence calculator.

Did you guys faced any issue realted to this ? I already have my citizenship file In Process and I have some 1230 days out of 1095 required.
