Quick question so I can ease my worrying...
I am a US citizen, my husband is canadian citizen. we are applying outland, and will be submitting our application once we get our marriage license back as well as background check and then do medical. I started my 6month visit Feb 28th, so I should submit for my visitr extension early July. They did not stamp my passport, I am a flight attendant so the stamps I do have are not from YYZ.
On the visitor extension application it wants proof of financial means. Since I am applying for residency it says to send in a formal letter from the bank detailing an account in my name and deposits into the account over the past 6 months. The bank account that is under myself and my husbands name, is that good enough? or are they wanting an account solely in my name? The account that is just in my name is my savings account with roughly $10,000, but since we got married, I have quit my job in the US so there will be no deposits made into that account.
(without sounding too ridiculous..) Since our application will be submitted by the time I have to apply for the extension , How important is it really to extend my visitor status? I don't plan on crossing any borders until we receive PR.
Maybe I am over obsessing about things too much. which could very well be the case. lol
