I landed at rainbow bridge on Friday, VERY easy process. Waited maybe 5 minutes before seeing an agent, he was very nice and asked a few questions. Also, told me the waiting time for PR cards is around 71 days.
When I just recently applied I requested a year and they gave me 2 years. I also attached my receipt of outland application, proof that I did my medical exam/background check
Yes, you can visit him while your paperwork is being processed. That's what I did & you tell customs you are visiting your husband while your application for PR is being processed (or something ). I've never had an officer question me any further than "where does your husband live", but I...
Yeah...my thoughts exactly. I'm thinking maybe I just didn't include enough proof? So this time around I will send more documents.
Frustrating because ALL of these documents have been included in our original application.
Now I'm wondering if I should just send these by courier rather than...
Last month I received an email from CIC requesting proof that my sponsor lives in Canada and to remind me to pay the fees, send medical ect.
I replied back to the email and attached proof that my husband is residing Canada...
Today I have received another email from CIC (different format than...
Yes, I understand all of that. Thanks Ponga !!
my visitor status expired 8/26/15, but I sent my application a few weeks early knowing they are slow...however, wasn't expecting it to take 3+ months. (but I guess I shouldn't be surprised ;))
I applied for my visitor extension at the 6th month mark (August) and I received confirmation that the application was signed for by someone at CPC-vegreville on 8/11. It's now 11/11 and I've heard nothing from them...is this normal?
I am going back to the US with my husband for...
I also just received the same email everyone else is getting. Looks like I'll just respond and attach a utility bill. Everything else they are requesting as been sent upfront with our application.
Ugh, this is silly. Praying though this is a good sign.
We are in Ontario & My husband was able to add me to his work benefits (RXs, chiro, massages etc) for the first 5 months I was here. However, when it came to renewing his benefits for the year I was unable to stay on.
FINALLY an update in ecas for us !!
We now have "in Process" and when you click it it reads:
received may 5
started processing july 6
medical results received
You are not alone !! I'm also having a VERY hard time adjusting here from the US and I am also very unhappy here so far. My depression and anxiety has been at an all time high having to deal with this ridiculous application process. I absolutely hate not working and not being near my family...
My application to extend my visitor status was signed for on Aug 11, by someone at CPC Vegreville. Should I expect any sort of email notification that my application has been received (like an AOR) or will I not hear anything from them until they decide to accept/deny my extension?
We just submitted our extension application and included a cover letter (similar to what you have written) as well as
1) sponsorship approval letter from CIC
2) receipt of application payment
3) proof of medical exam
4) 8 of my husbands pay stubs
5) proof of employment letter
6) a few bank...
