Hello everybody. I have a question regarding the education records and I've done some search on the forum but couldn't find any answers. Maybe one of you had encountered similar situation and can clarify it for me.

In the application we need photocopies of report cards; or transcripts; or attendance records in order to show that you actually studied during such time. But my problem is that as end of April I just finished the final exams of this term and usually my school won't post any result/credits earned for another month. So if I print or request a transcript now, it will show that I have 4 classes this term but the grade, credit earned etc will still be empty. So in fact the transcript won't be able to show that I've studied in this school from Jan 2015 to April 2015. In this case what should I do for this 4 month? My school also doesn't take attendance records.... ???

Well this means that you currently don't have the requirement to apply for citizenship. You have to COMPLETE a secondary or post-secondary program in English or French. If your marks are not out yet, it means that you have not completed your degree yet. Wait until your marks are out and then apply for Citizenship.

Oh...it's for proofing language efficiency, I already have other things to proof that. It's just for the education record section, i assume that's to proof what you are doing in canada during this time

"4. Education records

Provide photocopies of all your official education records if you attended an educational institution in the four (4) years immediately before the date of your application. Official education records are:

report cards; or
transcripts; or
attendance records
The education records must cover each calendar year, if applicable. It is sufficient to submit one official education document per calendar year of schooling during the relevant four (4) year period"

To "prove" your education records, just submit the transcript up to this point. If you want to be super safe, attach a letter explaining that your marks are not out yet for this semester and they can be submitted to CIC upon request at a later date.

Did the CIC recently update the instruction guide? I don't see "Educational Proof" on there anymore, just the language proof
