So if I got promoted recently, should the duties on the reference letter reflect what I am doing now or what I have been doing for all the 10 years in my company?

Also a related question, if the promotion puts me in another NOC (from programmer to software manager) what NOC do I use and do they reset the number of years I have to be in the NOC?

u can get referral letters on your past 10yr exp and even apply for the NOC which matches your past 10yes exp itself.

In 10 years I changed feom systems developer to senior systems developer to head of it section. Duties change, which duties should be used and as a result which NOC?

No suggestions or answers? :(

You need to select system developer NOC, in my case i was been through engineer to Sr.manager i chose to go with 2147

You've got to decide, what NOC fits your duties. You have to then get all the docs signed on letter heads/or an SD from colleagues.

I am not entirely sure why you need 10 years of exp? Express Entry only needs 3 years for overseas work.

If it is the same company, then you can get all the positions held, the period, the duties and responsibilities for each position in a single letter (as I doubt companies would issue you separate letters for each position held). If they are ready to issue individual letters for each position held (with all the required information), then also it should be fine. However, please note that under Express Entry you get maximum points for declaring 3 years of experience in an NOC under skill type 0, A or B. Therefore, effectively, you will not gain anything by showing the experience beyond 3 years. But, it is up to you which 3 years' NOC you would like to show to gain points. For the rest of the period, you can mention it under Personal History.

Thanks. I think my company will mention all my positions since it will have to put on the letter the date I joined the company.
