Hi I was 17 and was still in school when my sister sponsored my father and then in January 2012 the embassy asked for the PPR(passport request) for the me, dad and mom we sent the documents and medicals and was completely submitted in February 15. But my question is that I just turned 22 in December 2011 but was still studying in school in that time and I recently graduated this March 2012. Am I still a dependent child? ( I am still jobless and depends on my parents ;D )

If YES that I am still a dependent child can I take up a job? or will that make things worse? some company is offering me a job right now and I am getting impatient in waiting for the PR visa or DM since I have nothing to do in the house all day

well if u keep yourself enrolled in studies then it will be better ... how far this will not create much problem as u already have submitted documents providing evidence that u are dependent....

Thats just it I am not enrolled anymore since I graduated just this March 2012 although my passport was sent already in the embassy and we waiting for the decision and our passports to be given back.

And plus I am getting impatient and want to take up a job but if I take a job would my dependency be jeopardized?

don't take a job until they return your passport..as far as I know it didn't matter because you're only 17 years when they start processing your papers..but if you can enroll even in short courses maybe that will be better too..just to play safe..

S/he doesn't need to be in school as his/her age was locked in at 17 on the date of the application.

Thanks for the information! Now I gotta make a decision if I would be taking a job? It's hard waiting for the DM while you have nothing to do
