Question about Dependency Eligibility - Turning 22 Soon

Hi!

I hope you're all doing well! I have a question regarding my eligibility as a dependent, and I'm hoping some of you might have insights or experiences to share.

My stepdad is currently sponsoring us, and I'm turning 22 on February 15th. I've heard that there are age limitations for dependents, and I'm curious if I'll still be considered eligible after I turn 22. Does anyone have information on this or personal experiences to share?

I want to make sure I have a clear understanding of my situation, so any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

- Yes, there are age limits.
- The complete application must be received by IRCC before you turn 22
- You cannot be married or common law at the time the application is submitted and must remain single until the PR application is approved

So then you sponsor needs to make sure they meet income requirements to sponsor. Otherwise there should be no issue with the application.

And just to make sure that you and your child are both included in the application.
The sponsor will need to meet income requirements.
