Question about declining ITA

If I were to apply now, with 441 points and I received ITA what would happen if I had to decline but, in the meantime, my CRS had gone down to 436 due to age? Would I still be in the pool at 441?

And is there any limit on the number of times ITA can be rejected?

Essentially I'd like to get my application in now when I have 441 but I don't expect to be in a position to to accept for 3 or 4 months

Thanks

You have 60 days to submit your application with all the required documents once you receive the ITA. You must either submit your application or decline it before the 60 days are up. Your options are mentioned in your invitation letter so I suggest you read it carefully.

If you decline the ITA you go back into the pool until the next draw. If at the time of the next draw you don't have enough CRS points, you wouldn't get invited.

Thanks. I haven't applied yet.

My main question is - if I apply with CRS of 441 and enter the pool, does this stay as my CRS even if I subsequently have a birthday which decreases my points?

And if I decline ITA, do I go back into the pool with my original CRS or does CRS get reassessed at the time of going back into the pool?

Thanks

Your points for your age freeze the day you get the ITA

You will get reassessed every time you re-enter the pool.

I recommended you to go into the pool and apply before your next birthday. Or if you would be unable, to find ways to boost your score to overcome the drop in points.

Thanks. So, just to clarify. If I enter the pool with 441 but, by the time I receive ITA I am a year older so only have, say 436, I will be judged on 436 and not 441?
