Question About Client Number

Hi Everybody in this Forum
Happy new year and hope all of us have success processes in immigration's steps!

I have a question about client number.
(I've applied Permanent residence visa inland and extending of staying in canada)
I paid by the cash at the bank and I don't have any client number.

I think I have to wait for the first approve from CIC and there might be the client number.

Is there any ways to get client number or follow my documents?

You might be able to get your client ID# by contacting the Call Centre. One should have been assigned when your application was logged in at Vegreville.

i thought we only get the client num once they start processing our file that is after 5 to 6 months

Firstable, I will call the Call centre and I will ask my client No.

I am little bit confused all your answers.
I will get my client no. after calling them or might not get it if they do not open my documents?

Have you actually received any communicaiton from CIC at all? Until your file is in "process" I don't think you will have a client number. I remember when we put in our applicaiton (April 2006),about 6 months later we still hadn't heard anything and when I called CIC to find out if they even received our applicaiton, they told me they had no way or tracking it since they had no informaiton "on file". It wasn't until Feb 2007, we got a letter tellings us they recieved our applicaiton and that it had been transferred to our local office. In that letter, I had a client number and in my husband's letter, he had a file number.
I would still call the CIC help centre and see what they can tell you.

Your husband took 10 months to get client number. Wow, it's long to wait...I'm worried during waiting...

I have a question.
I am applying the extend of staying in canada with my PRV.

I heard they will send the extending visa approval first.
they will see my documents of ONLY extend of staying in canada then they will keep my PRV till time comes?

so if they open my documents of PRV, they will put my client number?
But not the extending visa open.

Do I understand that you told?

I think I understand but unfortunately I don't know the answer. Maybe someone else can answerr and let me help explain my understanding of the question: I think you are asking that you will only get a client number when your PRV documents are open but not when they extend your Visa. So, you think when they extend your visa you still wont have a client number until your PRV documents are in process. Did I get that right? If I did, hopefully someone else here can answer. If not, do try phoning the CIC phone number they can usuallly give a proper answer.

yes, you got what I've meant.

I am not sure the answer either.
I will get the extend visa's answer, maybe in this month or next month.
I hope I can get it as soon as possible and see there is my client number.

I will make sure and update the result in this forum.
If someone have a same situation and can answer me, I am happy to know that!

The Client-ID is on the Visa Extension, but that takes about 3months to be processed.

You can use it to check the status of the application.

I am happy that you told me there is the client number on the extension visa.
and it will be the one to follow my PRV documents!

I will wait the visa extension. I sent my documents in December 2008.
If it takes about 3 months, I will get it in Feb 2009, I hope!

Updating my case and NEED Fax number of CPC in Vegreville NOW!

Hi everyone in this forum,

I am updating of my permanent residence visa under the sponse or common-law partner in canada class.
I sent my documents in December 2008.
I got letter from Case processing centre in Vegreville last week and they asked me to update of my information.
The specifilc subject are work history, address and about joining any organization, 3 parts.

Cause I didn't list up 3 parts date until PRESENT!!!!!
I didn't know and I was lack of attention...anyway.
so I just update the 3 parts.

Then It says I can send it by FAX, but I could not find the fax number of CPC in vegreville.
Does anyone know the FAX number?
I am thinking of sending by mail if I cannot find it.
