Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello
Does anyone know how applications are processed? I mean is there any opening and quick check/screening of applications the day they are received at Sydney or do they wait a little while before treatment?
I called Cic call center and everytime the answer is different...
I sent my application in march 2014 and received at sydney office 03/12/2014
If my application was incomplete should have it be returned to me by now?
Some had their application returned after 2 weeks and others after just one month
Hard to understand how it works
Thanks

Re: Question about citizenship process-An answer please?

You're gonna have to chill bud. If your application isn't returned within 60 days, you can be sure that everything is good to go. Anything sooner is too early to call. Go wash some dishes or something to keep yourself busy.

Thanks for your reply, not easy to wait without any clear picture of the process.
I am looking for other views on this

If you take time to read the forum, you'll realize that we're all in the same boat. There is no clear picture. The 60 day rule is the only one that has some credibility.

Where did you get that 60 days rule frome?

There's no rule. The 60 day estimate is based on our observations and experiences only.

If you're looking for a list of citizenship processing activities with associated timelines - you're not going to find it.

Aplication sent in April 2013

Processing started on July 7

RQ received on Oct 4

RQ returned Nov 20

Notification to prepare for citizenship exam received Dec 22

We sent you a notice on February 27, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 18, 2014

Exam taken 20/20....between 4 and 6 months for oath, according to immigration official...things are moving fast in Montreal

CIC just seems wildly inconsistent in general, which is probably the most frustrating thing for most people. This is especially true when comparing the various offices to which Sydney can transfer your application to.

one of my friend submit application at sydney second week of february 2014 and received aor and study book last week of march....mine submit my application march 19, 2014 received at sydney march 21 and still no news yet, well just relax things happen for a reason dont stress yourself for waiting, enjoy life ;D
