Hey there. I have a really qucik question, a couple google searches didn't help me.

My current situation: Married in Canada a few months ago, family class application is pretty much 99% done, just getting everything ready to send it in a few days, but I've stumbled about some confusing things regarding visa offices. I'm from Germany, so the preferred office would be Vienna, of course, but I've read that you can choose your office? Does that mean I have to indicate somewhere in the forms which office I would want it to be send after Missisauga, or will they decide on their own? Because I haven't seen anything on the forms that would allow me to write which office I would prefer/want. Or is it simply a case of adding a short letter detailing what office I prefer?

Any information would be appreciated :)

You can not choose the visa office anymore.
CIC will choose - most likely - based on applicant's country of origin.
The form you could choose the VO abroad was the IMM0008, but after the update (in november '14 if I'm not mistaken) they removed this option.

Ah, thank you! That explains a few things - including why the applicant guide still has the "travel" form, in case your application gets sent to paris (which it shuldnt for me).

Well, off to send it away next week! :)
