Hi Guys,
I'm from Pakistan, living in Canada as a PR for a few years.
I'm applying for my parents visa to visit us in Canada this summer, for about 3 weeks, the expenses will be covered by us.
Going through the application, I had a question about their finances.
CIC is asking for a 4 month bank statement, and checking my parents finances I was a little concerned if its enough or not.
They have a joint bank account with balance of about CAD 11,000, but going back 4 months it only had CAD 5000. Because of my dad's business, funds come and go from that account.
He also has another bank account under his name where he gets his pension, which has about CAD 1000.
My dad has another business account as well, but that is a joint account with his other business partners, so we won't be showing that.
A little background about them:
My dad is retired from his government job from which he gets a pension. He is also running a small business now from where he gets some earnings now and then.
My mom is a house wife(no source of income), but she is running a small free/subsidized school she setup for girls from low income families, officially registered.
Both of them own some properties/assets too (house, apartment, shop, land etc.), which we will show in the application.
Going by the rough estimate of expenses of about 1000 per week each, for a 3 week trip for two, that comes to 6000, and adding 3000 for flight tickets, total comes to CAD 9000.
Although their bank account has more balance than that (11000), but it doesn't have sustained balance greater than for the last four months, it only had 5000 four months ago.
Note that in our invitation letter, we will mention that we will be taking care of their expenses, and attaching my employment letter/t4 etc.
Can anyone let me know if these finances should be sufficient to apply for their visa.
Thanks.
