plz help me out!!!

hope you guys can give me an answer for that.

i am currently working in an accounting firm and wanna take the cpa course. i already sent my transcript to cpa office to review. and i am applicable for cpa pep.

but i am also an international student and my study permit already expired. cpa said if i wanna go for cpa pep, i need to have both work permit and study permit. i do have a pgwp, so the only problem is study permit.

i try to apply for a study permit, and i need a visa letter from cpa. but cpa will not send me this.

so my question is can i get study permit without visa letter from cpa? or is there any other way i can get study permit? i know if i have pr card there will be no problem, i will apply pnp asap. but i don't wanna waste one year.

plz help me T_T.

I don't know CPA is considered full time so you need study permit (like Cfa you don't sp for studying). I think if you don't have sort of proof of enrolment ( letter from CPA stating you are student with them), chance you get sp is very small......

This confuses me: if CPA requires you having sp to study with them, why wouldn't they issue you a letter? This doesn't make sense.......

i know. i think they prob just don't want international student take this course.

what i only have is cpa transcript review said i can take cpa course. do you think that will be work?

****Need help please****: question about study permit/work permit

hi,

I am in the process of applying for the CEC. My work experience will be completed in April 2014.
I am on PGWP, which is due to expire in July, 2014. My wife is on Student visa, which is due to expire in July, 2014 too.
My wife got her study permit because I am on PGWP.

Will she can get her independent status as a student, after July 2014?

Thanks. Much appreciate it. Please advise.

It is allowed.

You can have both work permit and study permit. I did it and it went through with no problem.

I think you can try... try to put your situation in a letter to explain to CIC. Is there any quote from CPA website that SP is required? Put it in there too and maybe it helps.

Another thing is even if you get SP, how long it is valid for? In my CGA letter, it clearly states I should be able to complete the program by 2016 so my SP is valid till then ( much longer than my PGWP)

Thx for reply.

I was thinking about get a course from my university and get a visa letter from them to apply a sp. but i only can apply a 3 months sp mostly. its really not enough. CPA prob need 2 years to finish. So I really don't know what to do next. Prob send a letter to CIC explian my situation.

DO you think if i call cga will be help? I really don't know what happend to CPA corse. I only know CASB register all the student now. and their attitude is really bad.

No....If you want a letter from CGA, you need to enrol with CGA which includes sending your transcript for evaluation, paying additional fees that kind of stuff you already did with CPA. If you are not going to pursue CGA, you will be wasting your money. Plus, with CGA letter, you will get a CLOSED study permit, which means it will allow you study with only CGA......I guess it won't fulfil your purpose if you are going to be CPA. :-X

the thing i am not sure is about the combination of CA, CGA and CMA. What about the old CGA course? Cause the only course I can choose is CPA course right now. i wanna go for CGA to be honest. cause most of my friends go for CGA.

But it looks like I have to choose CPA course from CASB. Cause they are the only one office can register me into the program.

I guess you are not in Ontario as CGA Ontario has NOT officially merged with the other two bodies. Even if the merger goes through eventually, you remain CGA student once you enrol with them. This is what happened to CMA.

Hello, I am under the same situation with you ??? May I ask you did you figure out the solution for study permit?
