Question about 1year work permit after MBA

Hello,

Suppose you get a 1year work permit after a 12 months MBA program, what happens then ? You're allowed to work for a year, after which you can apply for Express Entry under the Canadian Experience Class but what do you do after the 1year work permit expires ? You go back to your country and wait for the processing of the PR ? Or am i wrong ?

1/ Unless you get another work permit, extend status as visitor, you return home.
