9c During your eligibility period, did you live outside Canada?

I visited India and stayed there for 605 days in total during my eligibility period. Do I answer Yes or No to this question? Answering Yes requires me to Fill Form CIT 0177 which is only for people living outside as crown servant, or with a spouse. None of these two situations apply to me and I have enough days above the required number to be eligible already.

Please Advise.

605 days doesn't sound like a visit. It sounds like you lived there.

As the question asks, if you lived outside of Canada during this time, write it down.

You visit somewhere for 2 days... 2 weeks... 2 months... not 2 years.

Hello, I became resident in 2014, but my eligibility period is from Oct 2012 - Oct 2017. For question 9c the answer is YES but the form that I have to fill does not apply to me, what should I do? Someone in the same situation?

As they change the rules, they will count also the days of your stay as a temporary resident for the past 5 years. Let say today is October 26, 2017, your eligibility starts Last October 26, 2012

Wwhen did you received your permanent resident?

I am sending my canadian citizenship application tomorrow but I don’t know if I need to put a return prepaid envelope. It’s not on the checklist. And also PR confirmation copy and Income Tax copy. Should I add it to my application?

1 January 2014
So your eligibility period is from October 26, 2012-October 26, 2017. From October 26, 2012- January 1,2014. Count the days divide 2. They will count it to your citizenship days.

  • In regards to question 9c, during my eligibility period, I visited my family for 3 weeks. Should I check yes or no if I leave outside of Canada?

Hi to all October 11 applicants for citizenship. Have anyone got the file number yet? Just want to know how many days does it take for them to send acknowledgement. Thank you.

This seems like just a visit, so if you didn't infact live there for 3 weeks and it was only a visit, I would click NO. All of that information should be included in the Physical Presence Calculator form though.
